The Board of the Hicksville Historical Society has planned this years Winter Social, to be held at the Gregory Museum, January 24th, from 2:00 - 4:30 p.m. This years special guest will be Anne Kingsbury, Poet and educator from the Walt Whitman Birthplace. Anne will discuss how Abraham Lincoln and Walt Whitman became admirers of each other's work. Examples of influences of each will be read, including Whitman's poetic tributes to Lincoln.
